Emmanuel Ivorgba

Founder and President

Dr. Emmanuel Ande Ivorgba is a highly accomplished leader with over 20 years of impactful experience in the nonprofit sector, peacebuilding, education, and conflict resolution. His career is marked by a steadfast commitment to empowering youth, fostering intercultural and interfaith understanding, and creating environments that promote peace and justice. By blending grassroots activism with strategic initiatives, he has become a formidable advocate for social cohesion and sustainable development.


Dr. Ivorgba holds dual PhDs in Comparative Religions and Management, reflecting his deep expertise in religious studies, social issues, and organizational leadership. He further enhanced his credentials with a Graduate Certificate in School Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education, a Master’s degree in General Management from Guglielmo Marconi University in Rome, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from HIPDET University. These qualifications demonstrate his dedication to academic excellence and continuous learning to better serve communities.


As a scholar, Dr. Ivorgba is renowned for his research contributions in social science, development studies, and community engagement, particularly within African contexts. His scholarly work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications that offer valuable insights into social dynamics and socio-economic challenges in Africa. He serves on the Editorial Board of the African Quarterly Social Science Review, underscoring his influence in academic circles.


His professional affiliations are extensive and prestigious. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of notable organizations such as the American Academy of Religion, the Institute for Biblical Scholarship in Africa. Additionally, he is the West Africa Regional Coordinator at United Religions Initiative (URI), a Fellow of the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace and an advisory board member at Adamas University’s School of Education in India, highlighting his leadership in religious scholarship, peace advocacy, and education.


As an innovator, Emmanuel founded Creative Minds International Academy in Nigeria, a K-12 institution dedicated to nurturing critical thinking and sustainable relationships among students. His lifelong dedication to inspiring youth globally has earned him international recognition, including The Golden Rule Peace Medal, Ethiopia 2011, the 2014 Unsung Heroes of Compassion Award in San Francisco, the Africa Peace Award, Ghana 2015, etc. Currently, Dr. Ivorgba holds academic positions at Rudolph Kwanue University, Liberia, Daaru Salaam University, Somalia, and Global Interfaith University, USA. His previous roles include leadership positions with the Dalai Lama Foundation-USA, Museum Africa, and Arigatou International--Geneva.


Emmanuel is also the convener of the Annual International Conference on Youth and Interfaith Dialogue in Nigeria, drawing participants from over ten countries annually. His extensive international travel and conference participation—such as at Stanford University’s CCARE—underscore his influence in promoting intercultural understanding and peace. Through his lifelong work, Emmanuel Ivorgba continues to inspire positive change, advocating for a more just, peaceful, and interconnected world.
