We are thrilled to announce that The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center has been selected as one of the three finalists for the prestigious 2026 Women for Zero Hunger programme! This remarkable achievement highlights our unwavering dedication to combating hunger and fostering sustainable development within our community. The selection process was highly competitive, and being chosen as a finalist is a testament to the impactful work our organization has been doing to address food insecurity, empower women, and promote resilience among vulnerable populations.
The Women for Zero Hunger programme is an inspiring initiative jointly led by Women in Africa (WIA) Philanthropy and Stop Hunger. It aims to support innovative projects led by women and community organizations that are making tangible impacts in the fight against hunger. Through this partnership, the programme offers a unique platform to empower women leaders, build sustainable solutions, and foster collaboration across borders. Over the coming months, our Center will participate in a comprehensive six-month mentorship programme starting in July/August 2026. This initiative not only provides us with funding to advance our project in Sierra Leone, but also offers invaluable mentorship, capacity building, and opportunities to network with like-minded changemakers from around the world.
The programme emphasizes active participation in both individual mentorship sessions and collective workshops, which are designed to strengthen our skills, share best practices, and foster collaboration. We understand the importance of dedication and commitment throughout this journey and are fully prepared to engage diligently in all scheduled activities.
Our team, along with our Board, is deeply committed to leveraging this opportunity to create lasting impact. We believe that this support will accelerate our efforts to improve food security, empower women, and foster sustainable development practices in our community. The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center’s leadership is dedicated to implementing the project with integrity, innovation, and a strong sense of purpose, ensuring that we maximize the benefits of this programme.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Women in Africa (WIA) Philanthropy and Stop Hunger for recognizing our work and providing this platform for growth and collaboration. We are excited about the possibilities ahead and look forward to working closely with our mentors and fellow finalists. Our team is eager to learn, adapt, and scale our initiatives to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this transformative journey. We are confident that, with support and dedication, The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center will contribute significantly to the global effort to end hunger and build a more equitable future for all. Thank you for your continued support and belief in our mission!
