The Ivorgba Center Awards Winners of the 7th Young Business Leaders Program

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center and Rotary Club for Global Action have today, Friday July 5, 2024, awarded winners of the 7th Young Business Leaders Award Program, at a colorful ceremony held in Rayfield, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. The Winners received a cash award of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) each, including six months mentoring support.

Meet the finalists below.

DEBORAH MOSES is a graduate of History and International Relations from Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, Niger State, Nigeria. She is an entrepreneur, youth life coach and founder of Debynati Variety Store- a variety store where she sells household items. She also runs a Youth Mentoring Club, to assist young people struggling with addictions, depression and low self-esteem, amongst others. Her goal is to build an online/physical business empire and reach out to more young people struggling with depression, low self-esteem, addiction and other social vices, thereby raising a generation of focused and godly youths.

 

LATIFATU OWOYELE is currently 400-Level student of Mass Communication at Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria. She is also an entrepreneur and founder of Tee's Haircessories, a thriving business in Taraba state, especially within the university environment. With a passion for innovation and creativity, she has been able to build a loyal customer base for her company. As a student entrepreneur, Latifatu has learnt to balance her academic pursuits with business endeavors. Her journey with Tee's Haircessories has been an exciting one, and she is very grateful for the support and recognition she has received so far. She committed to continuing to work hard and make a positive impact in her community.


KULEVE NGUUMA ABRAHAM is a focused and resilient young man, with interest in crafts and entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of Psychology from the Benue State University, Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. He is founder of Manche's Luxuries, a footwear/Cardigan production business, that specializes in production of high-quality leather products such as: male and female footwears, Bags, accessories + Cardigans+ boutique.
