The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation builds Capacity of Social Entrepreneurs in Nigeria

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation, in partnership with House of Hilkiah Foundation, successfully conducted a Capacity Building Seminar for Social Entrepreneurs in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria. The Seminar, which was held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, beginning at 8:00am prompt, at the Dony Suites, No.12 Orti Bender Street, Behind Total Filling Station, off Kashim Ibrahim Road, Old GRA, Makurdi, was attended by 50 Young men and women drawn from the University Community, Religious Leaders and the Business Community.

Primary objectives of the Seminar included: (a) To share our knowledge and experiences of how young men and women in Benue State can create and grow successful social enterprises (b) Discuss how social entrepreneurship can contribute to whole systems healing, peacebuilding and development.

We work in partnership with Social Entrepreneurs, the academic community and policy makers in Nigeria and abroad, to strategize, organize and deliver tools and services to promote the entrepreneurial culture that cultivates, inspires and facilitates sustainable peace and development. By supporting social entrepreneurs, we aim to facilitate positive social change through viable and sustainable programs and interventions that will support and strengthen local people and communities.
